I'll jump on the list as well,
I would like the 4 cavity with all pins.
This said if the pin diameter is going to be the same as the HG #258 HP, I can simply usew them and will go with the small set.

Is Miha setting up to run 2 and 4 cavity moulds in the same buy, or do we have to get 15 of each type?
Sorry about the email deal,

As for the pins, I just got in one of the MP HG #258 HP molds with the round, penta, and flat pins. The round however is a bit bigger than what I would like with the alloy I am using, and the velocity I am running. I am shooting the Redhawk 7.5" in 41 magnum. It shoots excellent with the 258's in both the solid and HP version.
Just figured if the pins will be the same, all I need is the small and I would have them all for both molds. The only thing I am not sure about is the overall length might be the killer. That said if so, then I would go with the three HP and the solid or blank pins as well. Might as well get the whole shebang and be done with it for more flexibility down the road.

I have some .41 Special brass but at this point the only two guns I own that I would call ".41 Special" size would be the Freedom Arms 97 and the Taurus Tracker.
The 97 is smaller than a Blackhawk and will not even take standard Keith length bullets. The Tracker is as small if not smaller than a S&W L-Frame and also will not take anything that even looks like a long nose bullet. Both of course are chambered for .41 Magnum.
I have seen many guns built as .41 Specials... Old Model Blackhawks, Original .357 Magnum Flat Tops, even a SINGLE-SIX done as a 5 shot .41 Special... One of the posters over on the S&W Forums has a L-Frame Mountain Gun that was converted to .41 Special...
Had one friend who used to shoot MS Competition with a Dan Wesson .414 SM.... If you are looking for other .41 Calibers, I do have a .41 GNR in a custom Ruger Bisley from Gary Reeder. It is a .44 Magnum base necked down to .41. Also have a .41/445 SuperMag which is a .445 case necked down to .41 in a Custom Belhert 14" TC barrel....will push a 255 Cast Performance bullet to a chronographed 2000 fps...and hurts to shoot....

Hello,
I don't frequent the forum often, but do when my Google Alert turns up something of specific interest..... In this case I'm one of those who has "gone native" as Bowfin says.
I'm the owner of the L-frame conversion that I believe RJM52 is referencing. Also have a .414 SuperMag conversion on a Ruger Maximum and a .414 SuperMag barrel for my Encore. A .41 GNR, and many .41 Mag's (revolver and lever action) fill out the safe.
I'm not in to casting, else I would have jumped on the group buy wagon. Probably should anyway. I do handload a bunch and my focus on .41 caliber has been a good move for me. I only have two .44 Mags (Dad's three-screw early Super Blackhawk and a 77/44), and what few .357's I have are on schedule for .41 Special conversion.
Great forum & I enjoy lurking as time permits.

I gotta stay out of this section of the forum....
Please put me down for a 4 cavity with all pins, my Tracker I recently acquired should like this a lot

I have fielded a PM concerning the interchangeability of cramer pins between Mihec's molds. From looking at several of my own, I would say the pins are ground to achieive a correct cavity with each particular design.
However, I am still checking into this and will hopefully have a definitive answer soon.
Hi -
Please add me for a 4 cavity mold with penta pins.

Thanks!
Put me down for a 4-holer and penta pins as well, please.
I keep it simple, only using wheel weights to cast, and am open to changing the pin option if someone can declare a regular hollow point is a better choice with this alloy than a penta.

kgb, are you going to be shooting this boolit out of a .41 magnum? If so, I would be surprised if you didn't get good expansion out of ANY of the pins, given the weight of the boolit.
