I have gotten permission from Mihec to rerun the 432640 mold, but this time in a 4 cavity brass cramer style hollowpoint. This has been run before in a two cavity, but now we can get it in a 4 cavity, which will make it about perfect! This has got to be one of the greatest bullets for a 44 IMO. It is set up really well with equal driving bands, generous lube groove and clean lines to drop nicely from the mold. But with the Round Flat nose it functions great in most if not all lever actions which you can't really say of a keith. And it is a great weight for this caliber. What I am trying to say is: Lay out a collection of 44 cast boolits on a bench with this one in the mix and this is the one your eye will be drawn to. My two cavity casts a fantastic bullet, and it shoots really well.
Your options are gas check or no check, .432 or .434 diameter. Pins are reversable and you can turn them over to cast solid bullets.
The nose is 0.375" and it has equal driving bands. The weight will be around 250 grains hollowpoint and 270 grains solid depending on alloy
Standard pins will be the ones that make the cavity depicted in the drawing. Optional pins will be the penta pins offered last time and a set that makes a smaller cavity very similar to the one that is in the mihec 45-200 bullets. This set will be usefull for higher velocity loads. So to summarize, there are three sets of pins available.
