Good for you Tom your making good use of that printer. Thanks again for the primer catcher, it's the first thing 3-D printed object I"ve had any experience with.

Thanks Joe - I just wish the AR-15 lower would have turned out better but with the (to me) available plastic, the buffer tube holder simply was not strong enough. May have been good enough for .22lr but with the prices for aluminum ones dropping, no real reason to try to make it myself.
I'm so jealous of everyone getting 3d printers. I'll be replacing my smaller lathe soon and was thinking about getting a 3d printer, with the funds from selling my machine.
There are just so many printers being sold now a days that its hard to keep up with.
Kinda eyeing the Dremel. I just wish it had a larger plate.
Non satis scire
Yes, the 3D printers are really fun to play with, but they are for sure not meant for mass production (the primer catcher and the speed loaders take about 6-14 hours depending on how much material I want to use inside the printouts). And it takes a lot of trial and error to find the right speed and temperature for each material/color - but if you like to tinker around with things, these are the way to go...
Ovationsdave - sent you a pm.
Here's a video of my homemade semi-automated push through sizing system and high-capacity feed magazines. When I designed this, I had intended to sell complete kits, so I purposely made everything manual to limit my liability. Ultimately, I chose not to sell these and now have a few setup for my own use. I will eventually incorporate an electric bullet feeder into this to replace the magazine feeding system.

I agree with the router idea. Actually one bit could do a variety of grooves depending on how deep it is set.

Just finished a Case Kicker for my Rock Chucker Supreme press (RCIV). You can see a video on YouTube of the Case Kicker, used in Conjunction with my Primer Guard primer catching system.
Man Johnny, are you an engineer? The case kicker shows that you have made many thoughts of how to improve things many engineers worked a long time on...
Does anyone have plans for a DIY gun vise they would be willing to share?
bkhamlin, I built one similar to this but I made my clamp different. Sorry I don't currently have a picture but I can get one sometime tomorrow.
