I loaded up some slugs and decided to try some "0" buckshot while I was at it. I picked up some .319-.320 balls from a member here and loaded six shells with nine balls in three rows of three in a Winchester WAA12SL pink wad. I used a Federal 2 3/4 inch hull with Winchester 209 primer and 18.5 grains of Red Dot with the standard star crimp. The weapon of choice for this was a Mossberg 500 with a 20" cyl. bore barrel and bead sight. Oh, and nine balls weighed in at 443 grains or roughly 1 oz.
Results at 25 yards had 43 of 54 balls on a 12x14 inch area on the target board. My son and I can see lots of destroyed milk jugs and cardboard boxes in our future, LOL.
