    .44 loads for a lyman 429640

I'm getting some .430 bullets, 250 grain gas checked with a small hollow point cast from the above mold. Looking for load info with w296. Have a couple manuals (speer/hornady), but nothing with gc cast bullets, hoping to find a lyman manual this week locally. Haven't shot any cast bullets so I'm hoping for some guidance here. I'll be shooting these out of a 10" ruger sbh.

    Thanks.

Rather than suggest a load, would rather send you the pages from Lymans manuals. Drop me an email and I will gladly scan them in.
Search the 44cal group buy pages, alot of guys have posted load data there.
The newer lyman manual doesnt carry the 429640, and a Newer version of their cast bullet manual is due out in June. I would suggest getting a copy of a Lee manual, or Hodgdons 2010 Annual ( seeing how the make the W296/H110 powders).

Look over Glenn Fryxell's articles at lasc.us. He like 429640 in MARLIN 1894 rifles.

I got a used double cavity mould from a member here, located in France. (Thank you my friend.) I've cast a few, but not done much with them.

Fryxell's stuff makes for good reading material. Thankfully I had some down time at work today.

You need to weigh them...my went about 268 grains each. Scott
