Has anyone done business with Coyote's Mercantile?

    Here's the site:

They have reclaimed shot at $97 for 50 lbs, shipping included. I thought that sounded pretty good compared to Rotometals where you have to pay for shipping. Any experience with them? Thoughts?

I paid $30 per 25# bag of reclaimed. This was cleaned and graphited. Cleaned, no rocks or unwanted objects, and graphited shot has been good for me. Some pellets were flattened but it didn’t bother me. Professional shooters will disagree but I believe they just like to argue.

Not a pro, but will disagree with you. I agree that for 95%, or more, of shotgunners, they could not tell the difference unless they use a pattern board.

No different than saying cast bullets are just as good as jacketed for deer hunting. I bet 95% of deer are taken at less than 150 yards…almost anything will work.

Wow! Where did you find a deal like that? How much was shipping?

Shipping was $0. I got it at a local gun range. Perhaps you can get a similar deal at a local range.

Back in Jersey, our trap range would offer reclaimed shot to members after they had the area reclaimed. A portion was reserved for members and the company got the rest I think. Been awhile but contacting those types of clubs may get you some contacts including companies that do the shot reclamation.
