Acquired a box of old reloading gear, gun parts, and ammo. In the box of various sights was an odd looking aperture sight. This sight has an adjustment screw on the rear and a 1/4"x 28TPI thread on the front. Is there an RKI (reasonably knowledgeable individual) out in Boolit world that might recognize this rear peep sight?

Winchester made a sight that went on the bolt of a Model 71. I'm not that familiar with it, but it's a possibility.

This is supposed to be like the ones Winchester put on the Model 71 & 65

FWIW, the OP's sight isn't a Winchester 98a bolt peep sight, as those had large bumps on the lower surface, where it was to be inletted into the bolt top.
