I am pretty sure my son committed a crime yesterday. He went to a gunshow and paid $400 for an 1861 Colt Navy, in the box with a Colt flask, Colt bullet mold, Colt nipple wrench and Colt cap box. The box had Colt all over it, and the gun had Colt stamped all over it. I had heard that at one point Colt had resurrected its black power line but had never seen one. This thing is friggin gorgeous. It makes my CVA look like a piece of junk, and my CVA is an old one from their heyday.
He also bought a Euro Remington New Army that looks really nice. I told him I would teach him how to load and shoot them, but that he shouldn’t shoot the Colt as I don’t think it’s been fired. If he wants to play with an 1861 navy he can play with mine and shoot it. He is not shooting that pristine Colt.
