I have 75 old milsurp 30-06, from 17-56. I plan on using the cases and primers for 7x57 mauser, and the projectiles for .300 blkout. What is the powder, and can it be repurposed? I have 7x57 and 8x57, .300, .38, .357, and .45 acp.

The powder can be any number of things from BL-C to BL-C2 to early iterations of 4895. I guess you "could" work up a load using those data but I surly would not use powder out of 68-100 plus year old cases!!!!!!!! That would all be corrosive ammo from those years also.
I have used WWII surplus powder from 8mm Mauser pull down. The primers are mercuric and are corrosive berdan caps. The powder works just fine. Have about 20K rounds of Argentine ammo. Some cases of ammo shoot ok but some have bad mercuric primers. Most of the powder is a square flake but works good in a new case with a boxer primer.
Corrosive primers don't bother me. I'm just thrifty(CHEAP), and was wondering about the 06 powder. I don't have a 30-06 so I am just using for components for guns I do have.
Depends on who and where the 56 year powder came from. If US 30-06 made in 1956, it is not corrosive (primers), except for a few lots of National Match ammo. I have a list somewhere of the years of Corrosive primer manufacture of US military 30-06 ammo by maker and lot #'s but I will have to try to find it. james
That was the one I had but the link I had to it is gone. Another old reloading site gone
