WSF powder

Does anyone know where I can find loading data for WSF powder? Rifle or pistol would be helpful. I normally use Unique, but since it isn't available right now and WSF is, I'm looking for information.

Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, 4th edition. Listed in 45 ACP, so until you mention calibers, kinda hard to help.

The Hodgdon Reloading Data Center and the Lyman 48th (which is free on line) has WSF data for 9MM, 40 SW, 10MM, and 45 ACP. I like WSF for these calibers.

I use it in 45ACP and 9mm. Good velocity with low pressure.

Gee, hadn't seen the 40sw loads @ hornady, thanks. I am trying WSF in BO with145gr PB, using GRT I simulate with N340. Seems to work OK. N340 appears to be same speed as CFE pistol and Herco but GRT simulations are different pressure curves.

I have used SPEER data for 38 Spl with 158 gr. boolits using WSF. Worked perfect.

I've been using WSF in .22 Hornet, .303 British, and .350 Remington Magnum.

In .22 Hornet, 3.9 gr WSF works for any of the 45 - 60 gr cast bullets I use. It burns clean and leaves the primers sticking out a little, which means the pressure must be too low to stretch the case head back into contact with the bolt face, and bolt thrust is basically nil.

In .303 British I've used 7.6 - 13.5 gr, and cast bullets 130 - 200 gr, with similar results, including the high primers.

In .350 Remington Magnum, I've been using 15.5 gr WSF with a 200 gr cast bullet, for about 1600 fps, same high primers and low pressure.

It was an experience with .303 British that first got me interested in WSF for cast loads. I had WSF on hand for .38 handgun, don't remember why I tried it in .303, but with 7.6 gr WSF behind a 311410, shot to shot velocities varied only about 1%. That suggested it could be quite accurate, so I stayed interested.

Note that these are all rimmed or belted cartridges, so there's no possibility of headspace getting out of control on repeated low pressure firings. With a rimless cartridge, it's more complicated, and there wouldn't be such a wide range of acceptable charge weights.

^^THIS^^ I have found WSF a tiny bit slower than Unique so with no data I extrapolate from Unique data. I like it for full power 9, 40 & 45.

Speer and Hodgdon also have WSF loads for the 32 H&R. I have been using it in that caliber as well as 9mm
