    Pretty good stuff to R & R the trigger and lever. Jard offers a single set trigger and a large loop lever.

    What exactly is this modification of the trigger? What does it improve? Can it be done without changing the lever?

    Greg; You don't have to change the Lever. It is similar to the Happy Trigger by Wild West Guns. There are several others out there. just google "Marlin replacement triggers."
