A follow-up of this old thread,
I now have 2 9mm AR's: A Sig MPX and a homebrewed CMMG. Both eat my powdercoated Lee 356-124's just fine:
But I am not satisfied. I'd like to find a gas checked 9mm just because (please do not try to talk me out of this). Let's call it peace of mind for a $2000 piston-operated firearm (again, resist the urge to tell me how powder coating vitiates the need for gas checks, as this is about want not need).
Is anyone doing a gas checked 9mm design with some decent load data (i.e., approximates the dimension of a popular cast bullet design)? Ideally something that feeds well (e.g., truncated cone).
Silly me, I bought this design from Accurate Molds just to discover it was made for 357 Sig (too long to load safely for 9mm), and now I have to use it for 38/357.
I was thinking this:
Or customizing this to include a check:
I prefer the latter because 125 is more common in load data and it has a recessed front for good chambering.
