    I suggest 25 gr of 1680 has a chance of not making much past the end of barrel (7,000psi/900fps)
    Take a look at Alexander Arms own 1680 data for "400 grain-ish" bullet
    http://www.alexanderarms.com/images/..._reloading.pdf

    also... Google < Accurate 1680 Beowulf > and look for consistent reports -- even if "from the Internet"

    I’d venture to guess that it’ll take 33-35 grains of 1680 to operate properly, BUT I have not experimented with that powder in the 50 Beo… I’ve also not used the 440 grain cast in question.
    That said, again… It never hurts to start low, and cautiously move up.

    50_BEOWULF_AA-1680_440gr_Cast (actual Data)

    Based on buildup from 32-20 Experience w/ AA 1680 in QuickLoad

    NOTE IT BURNS HOTTER/MORE ENERGETICALLY than even that (very) educated extrapolation:

    Accurate 50-440G/Lyman#2/AA-1680/40.0gr/FedMagPstl/2.074" --> 1,641±08fps/~36,000psi
    (LABRADAR'd, and very consistent)

    Based on the above...

    - In MY rifle
    - Using THAT bullet
    - At THAT Overall Length
    - THAT lot of 1680....

    I'd run no hotter than 39gr AA1680 as MAX load (33,000psi/1,600fps/16" at 80°F
