    Herters Press part question

    I can't seem to figure out what this part does?? Spent primer catcher? Tool holder? I can't find any information anywhere. Any help I greatly appreciated.

    I believe it's part of a priming system. I've got a press that looks very similar to yours, but do not have that piece

    It's the spent primer catcher. It works rather well though it was an option for the all the Model 3 based presses and is seldom seen today.
