    First cast boolits loads

Just finished up some test loads for the 336 35 rem I bought last month. This is my first time shooting cast with the exception of the shotgun slugs I cast. Mold is a lee 358 200. Alloy is 96 2 2 . White label blue lube. Charged with LVR from 39-41 gr.

Thanks for all the help you guys have given me in this process.

I will post updates when I get to the range. That might happen Sunday.

I know you will be please with your results. My Marlin 336's in 35 rem absolutely love the RCBS 35-200-FN cast bullet #2 alloy and the White Label 2500+ lube My loads do use a different powder IMR-4198 25.0gr then you use but I do not think it would make a lot of difference. The 35 rem just likes the 200gr cast bullets.
Have fun at the range. I hope that you have more bullets casted now because you will be rushing home to load more!

    Welcome to the addiction.

Be careful, and try to keep a low profile, or your family will be talking to those folks that do the 'Intervention' TV show.

Got to try my loads out today. 41 grains of LVR looks promising. 80 FPS jump in velocity form 40.5 to 41.0 grains. Kinda surprising as the as 40.0 and 41.5 were only about 20 FPS jump. Must have gotten to the happy spot in load density.

Critters best watch out with that load. Welcome to the addiction. I started 60 years ago. I’ve got 40+ molds now. Tim

Awesome! Keep it up. One thing I advise new casters. Don't let setbacks and hiccups dissuade you. I had a heck of a time my first two years. Before you know it you'll have a cabinet full of molds and you'll be buying duplicates by accident.
