Just picked up a 4 lb jug. I was looking at data before i bought it. Looks like it will go a long way.

I use bullseye for light target loads. It works great for them. Many people also use it for 45acp and 45 colt, however I have always unique for these. I will try it one of these days. Be careful to watch out for double charges.
Due to the price of primers, warning shots will no longer be given!
That is perfect for 38 special and 45 acp in midrange target loads. I have 3 pounds left from a 15 pound container.Attachment 276198
I got a couple of cans from an estate sale (old square cans with the push-tops.) I like Bullseye; it meters well, burns clean, good for target pistol loads. It is so close to Red Dot/Promo that I don't know that I need to keep them both on hand. My 8 lb jug of Promo will likely last a while.

Bullseye has always been my absolute favorite powder for 32S&W Long, and 38 Special. Only thing to remember is that say with a 32S&W Long load of 2.0 grains of Bullseye it just dusts the pan. A double charge sure does not overfill the case. Examine all charged cases with a powerful light!

bullseye works great in almost all handgun calibers, a little goes a long way
It has been booting bullets in the butt accurately since 1913. It has always been a "must have" powder at my house.

It was designed specifically for the govt's new .45ACP.
And there's good reasons why its been a favorite for over 100 years.

Promo is a lot more versatile. Slower than BE so you need a bit more, but it can be used with "The Load" and is a great 12 ga powder. I keep a lot of it on hand. I have never used it in pistol but I expect it will not meter as well. I have BE from a friend who got out of Bullseye shooting and will use it up but not replace it.

I use 4 grs of bullseye to reload 9mm. At that rate, I can reload like 1700 rds from one lb
I opened it to see how the powder looks. It's not as big the grains as unique and the dot powders. I think it should meter fine through my powder drop. I'll find out soon. Have the man cave warming up now. Going to load some 9mm 124 grain coated cast.

Thanks for sharing that outpost. It's somewhat scrunched on the phone, am I reading it correctly?

Bullseye is my favorite all around powder.I am always looking for the best accuracy at the least cost. Bullseye does that for me in several different cartridges.
Top velocity is of no concern to me.Easy shooting loads and good accuracy at low cost is what i am looking for.
The cartridges that I use Bullseye in are the22 Hornet and 218 bee for 22LR duplication loads, the 327mag 38special 357 mag 45acp 44mag 30-30 and probably a few more I can't think of at the moment. It is a good powder for me and I try to keep as much on hand as I can afford.
As Outpost's post shows, there's nothing you can't do with a little Bullseye and cast bullets.

Loaded 30 rounds. 4 grains behind 125 grain Boolets. Enough for 3 mags through one of my 9mm 1911's. Should be enough to see if they lead the bore like Tight group does with coated cast. Plus if something goes wrong. The all steel frame would be safer.
