    Is this a 80 or 60% frame?

1911 supposedly stainless frame and slide I was sold a year ago. The slide has rust in it and is incredibly bulky. What do I have?

A lot of machine work ! More than I'd want to tackle. I'd call them raw castings/forging.
    Good luck with your project.

That slide needs to be a labor of love for somebody as there is far too much work left to do for a casual hobbyist IMHO. Sarco has kits that are under $300 that include finished slide and all other parts except the frame, you may want to look at those and yes that frame looks to be less than 80%.

I was afraid of that. I suspected it was the case. Thanks guys.
