Good idea. I dont have a heater on mine and usually run a tiny space heater on it. If I'm in a hurry I'll use a propane torch to warm it. Your idea is safer and won't over do it or heat up all of the surrounding areas.

I put a halogen bulb next to mine, covered with foil to hold the heat and not blind me

I have a fish tank heater taped with aluminum tape to the luber on mine. Just plug it in about an hour before I need it.

About 40 years ago I hose clamped one of these on my lube sizer and it worked well, one just has to keep an eye on it as it has no thermostat. They can be had for less than $10.00 shipped if a prime member.

I have a 9x12 piece of .135 CRS screwed to the bench top that I drill and tap for various attachments like lube sizers and the like. An old flat iron set on it behind the press works like a champ!

I use FWFL and haven't had to heat my LAM yet. If I do switch to a harder lube, I have a Lyman 450 with a heater waiting in the wings.

We used to use a plain old trouble light with an incandescent bulb for just a bit of heat where needed in the winter. I don't know if the new style light bulbs put out the same amount of heat the old ones did or not.

I did see a similar heating pad for $20 at Wally world this week.

I put the heating element from an old coffee cup warming plate, sandwiched between two aluminum plates, under the base of my Lyman 450. The coffee cup warming plate was about $5.

Made a heater ,from a block of 3/4 " aluminium plate lube sizer bolts ontop of it .Plate has a hole drilled through the edge to fit a cheap soldering iron , soldering iron has the tip removed and replaced with a piece of copper rod 1/2" diameter and turned and threaded so it screws into the soldering iron .I rarely use it as I live in the tropics ,but during the dry season we get some cold night time temps (6 deg celcius) lube gets a bit stiff .

Are these still available from the D-I-Y parts stores like Advance, Auto Zone, and O’Reilly’s? I haven’t checked, but have all three close by.

Flat iron was a buck at a yard sale. Makes a decent hot plate too.

This is the exact critter I use:

    https://www.amazon.com/Kats-1155-Wat.../dp/B000I8TPFU

I use it to heat my lathe when the humidity gets high! When not sizing bullets.

because I am a cheap joker, and handy.

If I can make a heater from a coffee cup heater I bought for <$5, used for its intended purpose for a few years and no longer needed, plus some scrap aluminum plate, why would I spend $50 for a similar item?
