This is just pulled of the web. "Mini-14 started out at 1-in-10" in 1975. It then changed to 1-in-7" in 1989 and then finally to the current 1-in-9" starting in mid-1994"

Every girl dances a little different, need to dance with her to see and both should be more than safe. Then think about around .045" and .047" from .080" to change your Mini experience and start all over. Reduces whip, groups, beating up and helps keep the brass in the same zip code. One of the best and easiest things IMHO for it to calm everything down and hang something heavy off front end. Beyond that start adding zeros rapidly!

He's talking about the gas bushing in between the barrel and gas block. They are available from Accuracy Systems Inc. This is the first thing you do to any Mini 14 even before you shoot it.

If you are looking to buy one make sure it is a 580 series or higher. New ones are 584 series now. The 580 is the first 3 digits of the serial number. IE: 580-123546

Just buy a new one. The older ones can be challenging to get to run right.
