    I just alloyed 0.5lbs with 4lbs of Monotype tonight, to get a 17.5% tin, 17.5% antimony alloy, that I can work down with soft lead to get 2%/2% for softnose bullets, or 5%/5% for Lyman #2. We use it in wire form at work to spray-babbitt parts, and the wire leftovers that are too short to feed through the gun come to me at the end of a babbitt job.

    Nice!

    I ended up getting a 1# bar plus some muffin tin pours. Mechanic put it away for me. I'll get it next time I get down to the shop yard.
