Cast bullet loads with 308 Win s-p brass

Read about 308 Win small primer brass uses and limitations on the Starline site. Wondering if that brass would work well in developing cast loads for my Henry single .308W. I am currently using WLR primers with Lee 170f and 31141 bullets over 2400 with good results. I have a good supply of WSR, R7 1/2, and CCI 400 primers I would like to use hoping for similar results. Has anyone here tried any of this combination?

If you are going to use double-base powders, especially ball/spherical graphite-coated powders, use a magnum small primer. Normal small rifle primers (maybe except Winchester primers) will have problems reliably igniting 40 grains of powder.
