Not the commercial ones. Being hard cast, they shouldn't deform much, if at all. Casting your own with softer lead may get you there.

OK thanks. The commercial ones are listed from 16 to 20 Brinell. Looks like I might have to buy a mold after all.

Unless you are using a can, why sub sonic for pigs? You just add a lot of uncertainty on a paid hunt. Black tip or SST/Vmax seem to be the cat's meow. I use a 145gr RNFP in my BO.
    Whatever!

The whole point of using these loads is for the least report through a can. If not suppressed, there are better calibers for killing pigs.

I’d offer to cast you some hollow point 230gr but I’ve been waiting for over a year for the mold to be made in Slovenia.

I understand, and thanks for the thought. I know many people like Miha's molds, and I have a few, but NOE has at least one hollow point mold for this weight range and style in stock.

I filled a pig full of holes (11 hits according to a witness) with my BO and it ran off as soon as it found the hole in the fence.
He was running a can and subs (240gr). He changed to 308W. After the first 'splat' they will run, maybe mill around a bit. I shot at one @ 50 yds, he DUCKED! Witnessed by guy I was shooting with too. He got a 200#boar last weekend, 9mm spine shot, his wife finished it with 9mm. Cans are for YOUR ears, not theirs.
    Whatever!
