    Arsenal Mold sprue plate

I ordered a 5 cavity 358477 mold from Arsenal. I cast using a Lee 4 20 pot. The front of the sprue plate bumped against the front of the pot and I couldn't fill the last cavity. I started going in at an angle but didn't like that. I turned the mold around in the handles with the tip of the sprue pointed at me and it worked. I think I like it better this way. I am sure someone has thought and done this before. This is is no way a ditch of Arsenal molds. this is the finest mold I have ever cast with.
Boolits !!!!! Does that mean what I think it do? It do!

That's how I place all my molds in the handles. Sprue plate to the back. With two cavity molds I like to use my gloved hand to open the sprue plate.

Yes sir Arsenal molds cast very nice, and turning them around also works quite well.
I can actually cast faster with the sprue plate turned towards my hands. I cut the sprue with a gloved thumb once the mold is up to temp.

I'm seriously considering that same mold. I have it in a 2 cavity Lyman that produces beautiful boolits, but I wanted to increase my production with a 5 cavity.

I realize "clones" sometimes vary in small ways & do not always look like the diagram on the web page. A photo of that particular boolit…..if you have the time....would be appreciated.
