So not exactly timing so much as cylinder misalignment. So to explain I have a S&W model 28 in .357 mag. The cylinder rotated just a bit too far out of alignment. The cylinder stop has a decent amount of play in it but looks completely fine with minimal wear, the hand is in the same condition, the ejector mugs are the same as well. The only thing I can think be cause nothing looks bent is that I need to buy an oversized cylinder stop and fit it to retard the cylinder lock up just a little. Everyone seems to have the opposite of my problem with the cylinder not locking or rotating far enough. Mine goes to **** far so I can’t find any fixes on the web or any of my manuals.
