what to use to make shooting papper fun ?

What keeps me interested is 1) have other hobbies so shooting/casting/reloading doesn't get stale, 2) vary the paper targets and 3) vary the load so you have to shoot new groups and dial the optics back in. I'll use a traditional ring target to dial in and then maybe put a bad guy target up and shoot that until I miss a shot, then replace it and go some more. I'm an aim, one shot at a time sort of guy. I use a bipod or sandbag with butt on my shoulder.

Dot torture at 7 yards will drive you nuts. You'd have to modify for low ready vs draws, and is dependent if they allow reloads on the line (quickly)

The .17s are kinda ***** for cast bullet shooting, so no, you don't need to sully yourself like that. Itty bitty illustrated below for your reference. .30 caliber cast/50 yards/5 shots per wad.
