    Norma brass

Forgive me if this doesn't belong here, seems to fit the most.

So picked this up in a trade. Should I use it or is it collectable value?

IMHO there's no collector value, just something for someone to reload.

Load it and shoot it. That head stamp and box was used at least into the 1970s. I have loaded Norma 8X57 ammo in the same boxes that were dated on the price tag and by the original owner when he bought them.

It's excellent quality brass; very long life span. Give it a quick anneal and use it...or send it to me!

Any value was lost once some were reloaded/mixed.

Brass hardens some with age so I would recommend annealing as well before using this. Of course don't anneal the primed cases without de-priming them.

The old 52 stamped 30 carbine that's crimped looks to be one of the steel cases possibly

Would any of that likely be corrosive?

American 30 carbine was never loaded with corrosive powder or primers. Can't speak forany other brand.
