Got a pound of Varget to try out using cast in .30-06 along with the Imr 4895 I already had. Might work for the Mosin as well. I wanted to get it for load work for jacketed .22-250, but it might work for multiple applications for me.

Fin Fur and Feather actually had several Alliant powders on sale 8lb of green dot was $119 blue dot and green dot 18.95 a pound.
$119 for 8lbs of Green Dot is a good price. BTW: I don't live far from Duck Rabbit in Farmville. Their Milk Stout is pretty darn good.

Well I think it's been 2 weeks now since I said I wanted eight pounds of IMR4895.
Stopped at PSA and picked up a 360 round battlepack of hirtenberger 7.62x51 147gr [STG-58], swung by Sportsmans Warehouse and there sat my purple labeled 8# jug up on the top shelf!
And there was a step stool sitting right there waiting on me!!
Did a quick check, I could get it at powder Valley for $23 a pound in singles,
$164.50 in an 8# + $28.50 hazmat + $13.95 s/h = $206.95,
so I figgered $189 + tax = $203.25 was close and God bless instant gratification
Works out to $25.41/lb out de door!
My M1A will be happy for a while!!
I'll hit the Asheville show for some 2400 and I'm pretty well set.
Well, if I see unique at a good price I can/will be tempted

Got a lb of 7625 for$14 it was the last powder at Fran Johnson's clearance now I'll have to figure what I can use it for
1lb of Bullseye, 1lb of HS-6 and 1lb of Power Pistol...first time I have seen any of these on the shelf in 3yrs...would have bought more, but someone else will want some and I had some on my shelf.
Bought a pound of 2400 and a pound of 4895 at a gun show today. Plenty available but still.......increasing my stash 1lb at a time.
My pistol power drought has ended. In the past week at the LGS's I've found 4 pounds of Bullseye, 2 8 pounders for a total of 16 pounds of 700X, and 4 pounds of Tightgroup. It breaks down to $21.00 per pound for the Bullseye, $17.25 a pound for the 700X, and 22.50 a pound for the Tightgroup. In talking to the sales help they have seen a drop in demand and it's been staying on the shelf much longer. It's nice to see the larger containers turning back up. This is the best I've seen it in years.
Found an 8lb jug of Unique at the Gun Show today, some primers too.
Well I had a buddy pick me up a pound of varget last weekend at a gun show , I have been looking for over a year almost gave up , but imr 4064 has been doing me right just wanted to try varget . Wile he was there he picked up a lee 356-111-1r mold for 4 bucks sent it down with the powder . This is my first look at a lee 2 cavity . It's for fun right .
I snagged a couple of pounds of accurates 4100 and some number-9 today.
the number-9 is starting to get to a respectable level [the wife burns through it in her 300 bo like it's free]
the 4100 works under 110 J-words in my 300 and in about everything else on the planet just like 2400 does.
hopefully i'll see more of it in the future.

I was blown away to find Varget in stock at my local hardware store. $60.00 a pound though...
Bought a lb jug of H414 and a lb jug of H4350 for $28.00 a jug. Prices have come down almost $7.00 at the local shows over the last year. Also picked up a brick of 1000 .217 Berdan primers for $30.00. Got enough Berdan brass so the primers were a good find.
LGS is pretty well stocked on imr, hodgdon, and alliant powders right now.2400 still hasn't shown up and aa powder seems scarce.
Picked up 4 lbs. of imr 4350, 1 lb. red dot, and 3 lbs. of unique. It was all right on time for me. Probably will go back next week and pick up more red dot and unique.
I got two pounds of h4350 two pounds of cfe pistol and four pounds of imr7828 for under $200 out the door. Been looking for the h4350 for a long time.
2400, I let it sit on the shelf for two weeks and nobody grabbed it so I did
