Forster Co-ax
^^^ Wrong. It is a great press but not even close to being the "stongest." Why are posts just randomly, seemingly, just spouting out names that are not even close to being the strongest. Guess is that they own the press in question and like to pretend as it makes them feel better.
I have an old RCBS A2 Its a heavy duty sucker! too big for every day loading
"Seagiant and I own the only other cast steel press made currently"
Which one is that? The CH4D Champion???
RCBS A2 is a brute of a press. Swaging presses are brutes by design. If you want strength than you want steel.
Of all real world presses shown on this thread my vote is for the rock crusher. My personally owned strongest is a rcbs 2A, cast steel. I'm certain it could be broken but it would take a lot of trying to do so. My coax is a great strong accurate press but strongest, no way.

the lee classic cast is probably the best value in strong single stage.
I wouldnt use my coax to do a muscle job. I consider it precise.
I really wonder if I should just sell the coax and buy a classic cast.....
If that Rock Crusher is cast steel, that is beyond crazy strong. Now I really want one.
the Lee cast BMG press is know for having a week handle/toggle area
ask me how i know
but
fix that part and you have a pretty indestructible press
it has the potential for being stronger than the average man operating it
I've had an RCBS A2 and an A3. Both were tough presses. Wish I had kept one, especially the A3.
Strongest press that I ever had (and stupidly sold) was an RCBS Big Max. It was discontinued some years ago. It used among other things a lot of handle travel but it developed a huge amount of mechanical advantage while the frame was absolutely massive. I did not favor the universal shell holder and used an adapter that took regular shell holders. Never a worry about swaging or case reforming; the MA made them a piece of cake. LLS
I will not pretend to know what the strongest press is. However, back in my wildcat cartridge days when I did a lot of case forming my Redding Ultra Mag handled the chore with ease. I still have it but prefer a Co-Ax for most of my loading needs. TJ
