Short fat dies - They are useful

For many of us brass mashers the use of short fat dies is SOP.
I prefer to use trim dies but I have also used FL dies with the expander removed and even the seater die in a few instances.
I will just post a brief list of some that you might find handy for case forming.

    1. 357 Auto Mag
    2. .358/.356 Win
    3. 7.9X33 Kurz
    4. .308 Win
    5. .30 BR
    6. 7mm BR
    7. 7mm-08
    7. 6.5 Rem Mag
    8. 6.5X.284
    9. .250 Savage
    10. 6mm BR

Others I have found useful for intermediate dies
    1. 7.35 Carcano
    2. .30 Herrett
    3. 7.62X39
    4. 6.5X250 Savage (a wildcat die)
    5. 7.62X54R
    6. .30 Luger or .30 Mauser (7.63X25) or 7.62 Tokarev

You can modify many of these or other dies by cutting them off so they are short enough to form other cases.

I just used a .270 REN as an intermediate die for make .25-20 WCF out of .32-20 WCF. Only lost two pieces out of 50.
The only amendment the Democrats support is the 5th.

When I run out of 25-20 I will use a spare .25-20 sizer bored out for the intermediate die.

I have a .30 Luger die to start the process for sizing .357 Mag down to .256 Win Mag. My 2nd die probably needs to be a cut off 7mm TCU which might work well in place of the 25-20 die above.
