    Bofors Powders & 45 Colt...

Anyone have the relative burn rate for these powders?...

I know they made Alcan 5 many years ago and that is what I am trying to find data for...

Or, anyone have data for AL-5 and very light loads in a 45 Colt with the Lee 452-228-1R boolit...

Data for any boolit in that weight area would get me started. I have found 6.5 grains to be acceptable, but I haven't chronographed it yet to see what it might compare to...

    Thanks...BCB

For years my favorite load in 45 C was 11.0 gr of AL-7, under a 250 gr cast bullet. Finally found a stash of it, 5 or 6 lbs maybe, and now old age and arthritis make shooting big revolvers not much fun.
