    wanna bet??

    theres a bottle of DEVILS CUT riding on this. how do you pronounce the word MEPLAT? me-plat or meh-plat or? plus, whoevers wrong gets to be called "dumb ***" for a week w/out crying about it. so............? kid at the local gunstore goes "huh" when was asked. figgers.

    Meh-play is the correct French pronunciation, but it gets pronounced correctly about as much as sabot. (say-bow, as in the letter O)

    Me-plat and meh-plat, while both incorrect pronunciations, are both common lexicon.

    I believe it's meh-plah but I usually say Mehplate.

    I believe Hamish is the first to answer correctly.
    For personal reasons I will continue to intentionally mispronounce it though.

    I say "mep Lat" with the enunciation on the second syllable.
