Still had a few that were not as good, but overall much better. I am pretty pleased with these. I need more practice. I see the benefit of sitting them on nuts, but I sure have a hard time keeping them on the nuts. I seem to do better with the bullets just on the foil, but I am certainly not getting 4 or more uses out of the foil. The first use seems to give the best results.

You should post that pic in this thread so it doesn't get lost somewhere on down the pages later.

I am leaning that way and maybe not use the nuts either.

As I have posted before, I get 3-4 uses out of a piece of foil.

Remember, I am using matte black, not the gloosy stuff. Black goes on thinner and more even and does not flange nearly as bad. I beleive you when you say one use! The various colors of gloss I have go on thicker and tend to fill voids heavier which could cause your bottom flange problems.

    Nice looking boolits.

Thats what I do.... one sheet for my trays costs $.06 and I load 238 pistol boolits per tray. So new foil for each load costs $.0002521 per boolit. I'm thinking "noise money" for foil compaired to the other costs of reloading.

How will you ever save any money reloading wasting like you are. Reloads are the unsung hero of recycling short of using both sides of the TP we must keep up the cause.

I turned the cake pans over and used the bottoms. On one I used JB Weld to attach nuts, but didn't on the other one. I have a devil of a time keeping the bullets on the nuts. I had better luck just using foil on the pan without the nuts. However, I am getting a great deal of flange around the ends of some of the bullets. Some not so much. I think eventually I will get cookie sheets that are sized for toaster ovens. Have to wait for payday for that however. Still undecided on the nuts. On one hand, less flange; on the other hand, bullets falling over. Plus I can't get that many bullets on them. Someone up above said they put 238 bullets per tray. With space in between, I get less than 50 and that's if they don't fall over. It seems if one falls over it causes a chain reaction or I do when I try to reset the fallen bullets.

I get a lot of pistol boolits per tray by using a loading block made from a 1 X 12 with 3/8 holes drilled using a standard wood bit in a drill press. The holes are on 3/4" centers. After I load the block pointy end down, I put foil on then my oven rack upside down and flip the whole stack over. Since I am gready I put an extra row on each side by hand prior to ESPC. If my math is correct 14 rows of 17 is 238.

If you look 5 rows down on the right hand end you will see a 9MM in a hole.

That puts your pan about 11" x 13"- you have a fairly large TO?

Retired counter top convection oven. When I started PCing, I bought my wife a new one so I could have the old one to cook boolits. I call that a win/win.
