For those within driving distance Grices Gun Shop in Clearfield, Pa. has the Remington 1911/45acp coming on sale Labor Day weekend. Price is $499 and a $75 mail-in rebate that brings it down to $424. Not a bad price for an entry level gun. I have one and it seems right smart reliable and groups well enough. I'm not associated with Grices, don't even particularly like them...but they have some fair prices on some stuff. They have a website and flyer if anyone's interested. Audie...the Oldfart..

Yeah, I got the flyer in the mail the other day and noticed that one. Figures, I bought a new R-1 last January for a lot more than that! By the way, mine is a fine shooter with 100% reliability (so far).
