    It is not the same powder as WST. 452AA was indeed discontinued. I have samples of both on hand.

    WST has been my favorite for 45 cast loads for several years; it also works well in 40 and 9mm. WSF is better for jacket bullet loads, seems to burn just a tad slower.

    I used to use Win 452AA for trap shooting then used up what I had left in .44 mag round ball loads.

    It worked well for me.

    As for 452AA being renamed to WST, I would have to see that in print but would be happy if it is true.

    It's not. The two powders don't even look remotely alike to boot.

    Thanks everybody 4.5 gr with a 185 works great for steel at 750fps and 20 gr works great with trap loads. Wish I had 4 more jugs! Then again I wish primers were still $12/1000 and 22s were plentiful.
