Isn't there already a sticky on acronyms? I mean, not just for PC but, a master Cast Boolit achronym list. These should be added.

This one is kind of "area specific", but feel free to copy it and PM it to Pat and see if she'll add it to the master list.
I don't know how much sense they would make if there weren't all grouped together, but were spread out through a larger alphabetized list.

"Bump" moves the thread to the top of the front page again. So it can begin its journey down through the posts and on to the back pages. People will just say "Bump" or "BTT" (bump to the top) as a reply to move the thread back to the front. You'll see it often in Swappin'& Sellin' and in the Group Buy section, where people want one thread to stay current. Any reply will move it to the top.

You could just as easily type "Friday" or "I like cheese" and it would accomplish the same thing.

It's not an acronym, but I wish someone would explain "piglet" coating. I read several pages of a thread on the piglet method once that talked about the results but never definitively explained what it is.

'Cause Piglet introduced it! Somewhere around post #894 to 904 or thereabouts in this thread.

It's just acetone and HF powder.

I've actually had better luck with the Rangefinder version, using lacquer thinner and HF powder. The problem with lacquer and paint thinners though, is that every brand is a little bit different mix of ingredients, whereas pure acetone is always the same.

NO, LETS MAKE IT A STICKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried to find this once when I got confused by a thread that had so many abbreviations that I didn't know. I failed to find this, so I quit reading that thread. That info was lost because of peoples fondness for acronyms. Or is it just laziness?

There are a half page of stickys already, but I think this one needs to be added as well.

I agree this should be a sticky. It's pretty hard for people that aren't doing the powder coating to figure out what is being talked about. I've kind of been following this, but only noticed this thread today. Bumping it all the time seems ridiculous.

True this needs to be a sticky and daily bump are a bit over the top but until the mods make it a sticky this is what we are stuck with. And of course you can always bookmark this page.

This is nice. It gets hard to communicate and understand when everything is becoming abbreviated and you don't stay in the loop with it.

    Beagle:
i'll sticky the list if it's in a clean thread.
I don't come here too often, but have watched this one off and on to see what all it contained.
if I don't sticky it, [the new clean thread] contact ricky [RP] he's a MOD too and does hang out here.
I like the idea of the acronym to regular words list but it has to be relevant.

if you wanna go above and beyond and throw in some pics or links to explain the acronym, I'm cool with that too.
