    New mold

Got a new (old) mold that I'm anxious to try on my BLK. Its an Ideal (Lyman) 311414 hollow point. Drops 311 bullets at around 150 and uses a gas check.

Thinking about powdercoating these and worried a little about the HP cavity getting clogged. Any ideas on how to prevent that?

The usual answer is to JB Weld nails to a pan and set the HP over the nail point and spray them.

The nail system sounds like it should work well. If spraying them upright just place a toothpick in the cavity.

HP cavity getting clogged --automatic plastic nose insert for 'zombie' ammo and you complain?

Just be sure to shove some foil down over the nails before spraying. JB-Weld is an insulator.
    KE4GWE - - - - - - Colt 1860, it just feels right.

I have a tray made of sheet aluminum with pop rivets (didn't pop them). I stand the HP cavity on the pop rivet shaft and spray away.

Thanks for all of the responses but I should have mentioned that I tumble coat (with exceptional results on non-HP boolits)
