    Shannon Shotmaster

Just got an unused unit with the soup cans, and 3 sets of jets. The prepper in me says keep it, but realistically don't think I will ever use it. I really don't shotgun that much. I guess the question is what is it worth? My ammo production space is getting pretty tight (messy). Input please!!!

One thing maybe the only thing WD-40 is good for.

They retailed for $139 in the 80's. 2 of my friends have bought these about 5 years ago for 2-250. Its less fussy and easier to use than the Littleton but slower. Mine has paid for itself over and over and still works.

I see people having trouble with consistent results and it sort of scares me off. What are you using for coolant?

Straight Auto Antifreeze works great for me. Ran about 3000# last year. Some use straight water but is the water maybe 5% in the Antifreeze that give me a small dimple until it evaporates off.

Yes, I used animal friendly Sierra anti freeze. Some use a liquid laundry soap. Both are water dissolving and that makes clean-up very easy.

Forgot I added some laundry detergent too to thicken it up some.

What size are the jets (drippers)?? How much would it take for you to let it go?? How about a photo for someone that never saw one before??
May all your bullets find the Bullseye.

The drippers say 5-6, 7, and 8. Sorry I have no idea how much or if I want to sell it. I cant figure pictures but there is a really good thread on here somewhere with pics and articles and instructions.

If I remember from my instructions, the drippers are 5-6. 7 and 8-9. Meaning if you keep the lead level just above the drippers, they drip slower and the bigger of the shot size indicated. Number 4 nozzles were optional. I just made some 7 shot and they came out at .010 diameter. My local range has shot for about $38-40 per bag. So one has to figure what ones time is worth and what they are able to get lead for. I am lucky that I have a source of lead for about $25 per 5 gal bucket of wheel weights so it is cost effective for me.
