    Just lettin you know

Ordered some stuff from cabellas. Free shipping and had a sale on cast iron. Got a 12qt dutch oven for $59 & a divided tray (ingot mold) for $16.99. I did pay $16 for shipping due to oversize and heavy items. Ordered the camo room set (oversize) & dutch oven (heavy). Still not bad.

Sry. I feel Crabellas is a cr$p company. The dutch ovens are cheaper at harbor freight and lodge podge is cheaper at walmart (wifes dig walmart). Id rather not support racists.

The dutch ovens at Wal-Mart are $54 for a 6qt. I paid $59 for a 12qt. Believe me I've been looking all over for the best price. Also no tax as would be with Wal-Mart or harbor freight because I have one of each within 50 miles of me. All I found at harbor freight was a 6qt also.

I have dealt with Cabela's for a while now, both on-line and in one of their stores and I have not seen any "racism". I have also worked in the retail business for over 30 years and I have seen how a negative comment can adversely affect a business's reputation.Maybe he should elaborate on his comment to give it some credibility; by itself, it has none.

some years back I tried to deal with cabelas in the usa and everything I needed they said that they could not send to Canada. the items were allowed into Canada but they would not sell them to me. my first and last time that I will deal with deadbeats like cabela's. if they treated me like that, are they treating other people the same way??. buy your items from a company that likes to deal with you and help you out.

    "Id rather not support racists."

Are we going to get this drivel every time someone mentions Cabelas. Why clog up a thread with nonsense. I like Cabelas and get what makes sense from them. As for Canada, that comes with the territory. I live in California and can't buy many things I want. I don't blame the seller I blame California or in your case Canada.

There are dozens, if not hundreds, of regulations/restrictions/laws of which most of the public are totally unaware. These can be Canadian, they can be American, they can be multi-national treaties, they can be virtually ANYTHING.

Companies marketing across international boundaries are treading in legal minefields, and that is why they refuse to either do ANY business across the border, or are very VERY cautious about what items they will sell to foreign customers.

Midway USA for decades has refused to do business with Canadian customers. Do you regard them as a "deadbeat" outfit, too? I can tell you, they are NOT deadbeats. Neither is Cabela's.

I escaped from liberal-socialist Canada after fifty years of living there, back in '97. Best move I ever made. It's very likely that Cabela's at some time ran afoul of stupid Canadian bureaucratic red tape at some time, and decided the hassle wasn't worth the tiny bit of profit they MIGHT make in dealing across the Canadian border . A business decision made for a valid reason does not make them "deadbeats".

I'm a troll because I asked a simple question about how Cabela's is racist? Which, by the way, no one has answered......

No, you are not a troll for asking a reasonable question. I have no information that Cabela's is anyway near to being racist. I will continue to shop with them, and Midway too.

L Bottoms: Another inflammatory post about Cabela's.

Quit whining and do something about your problem with your Caela's by taking to the on site manager. If that does not satisfy you, that manager has a boss. Get back to us after you actively address our issue.

And did I mention stop flaming in the meantime?

    DRNurse1

BTW: 'wifes dig Walmart?' One is quite enough for me, but I suppose it is just a funny typo.
