Where's the thread about Ugly guns?

    I guess I'll start a new one.

I found this gem on gunbroker:

Part of being a responsible gun owner is to know when to adopt a poor gun which, through no fault of its own, was rendered unsightly and remove all traces of transgressions committed against it and restore some pride to it. Look past what you see when browsing the shelves and see the gem in front of you and what it could be if properly cared for.

Actually I kind of like the bumper chrome on the type 94. Not so painful on the eyes as the tactical entry derringer, though the derringer did give me a giggle fit for a little while.....

Rumor has it, Diane Feinstein has a long, long list of ugly guns.....J/S.

Then again, I don't think's been anywhere near a mirror in decades now either.

    I can't disagree with that.

I think the first one I posted was a real winner, because it was an ugly gun to start with, and then someone added the rediculous dot sight.

Some guns are just ugly. Adding a ridiculous sight to them doesn't help.

I think the derringer looks no worse than the average M4 festooned with all that add on junk.

Nope, an M4 with a bunch of stuff hanging off it is tacticool. Every operator needs one. How can you impress the other mall ninjas with anything less?

I have to agree with the trash on the mare's leg. I love the concept of that gun for cool factor, but DAMN that thing is butt ugly! The NAA 22 with the Eotech and forward grip and light is a riot...

But those are made-up guns! Submitted for your disapproval is a genuine factory-made ugly gun, my H&R 939.

Notice the fit of the left-side thumb-rest grip. Notice the fine, angular lines, including a rectangular barrel. Notice there's no trigger sear connected to the trigger; the trigger swings back as on a pendulum, then contacts a protrusion in the back of the trigger guard, through which the sear protrudes.

Oddly enough, this is one of the more accurate .22 LR handguns I've ever owned. Yeah, the trigger pull could be lightened some, and the double action is even mo' harder, but it's funky and fun.

Nah, as far as I can tell, that H&R is one of the nicer looking revolver H&R ever made.

    How's this for ugly?

One of these days I'll have to take a picture of my Calico 950 pistol and include it. But you have to admit there is something kind of neat about a 50 round magazine..........
