    Universal clays in mosin

Using a plain base 180-200gr pb cast bullet, what would be a good load. Never used this powder before but would like to try, thanks

I would start around 8 grains and work your way up from there. I have used as much as 12 grains under a 200 gr boolit in the mosin.

I had some trials of using Universal Clays (ADI manufactures AP70N, sold on to Hodgdon) here in Australia as it was touted as a substitute for unique. I was not able to find much accuracy in the 30-30. This powder seemed position sensitive which Unique is apparently not as prone to. Maybe I should return to it.
