    Rimfire projects

Hung around here a couple of years ago, came back to the casting and reloading but also shoot a lot of rimfire. Have some great factory guns but wanted to make some custom stuff to feed the need for unique. Thought I'd post a couple of pics to share. A Savage 64 in big gun costume and a 10-22 in Gangster mode. Nice job indeed -- is that drum functional, or does it just hide a teardrop 10/22 magazine?

It does work, a bit of a hybrid design. The spring wound center feeds the modded Ruger mag. Holds 52 but due to design constraints only utilizes 47

    Wow! Thats brilliant!
Would love to see the reaction of others when you rock up to the range and let rip with 22Quiets or Subsonics.
    That'll be priceless.

Is that "Thompson" one of these or is it a one-off home built conversion?

It's a one off home built. Saw the clamp on type, didn't fire my rockets. Knew I could do my own version, procured a 3 inch round alum bar and had at it. The design is similar to some that were Canadian made a few years ago. The drum is my own, a lot of head scratching and prototyping to make it functional. Did the straight fore end and stick mag first. Liked the gangster look better so made the front grip and drum. The finned barrel shroud is a slip fit on the 12.5 in Dlask barrel. Turns a few heads at the range when I do a mag dump.

After taking a closer look I can see there is a huge difference between the two.
