+1 on the Broomhandles--they were cool enough that they modeled Han Solo's "Blaster" after it!

well some men like blonds some like redheads and some like others. but one thing a pistol is like a woman should have some courves. so i will say the glock is ugly.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the "Deer Gun" yet. Heck, that thing doesn't even look like a real gun it's so ugly.

I had never heard of this one. Looked it up. It looks like Will Smith's "Noisy Cricket" from Men In Black.

    1934 nambu

BOWFIN, the pistol you refer to is a 1934 Nambu. I had one and you had to be careful not to press the side of the pistol because some of the parts that triped the sear were located on the outside of the frame without protective rails such as found on the Luger. Browing solved the problem by keeping all the parts on the inside of the frame. I sold that one in the early 1960s for fifteen bucks. You are right, they are UGLY.

I agree the Deer Gun was ugly, but I saw it's father ther FP-45 at a museum when I was a kid, and fell in love with it! It's has that great WWII OSS look to it.

The Wiki claims that they 1million were made from conception to the end of production in 6 months. The "ejector" was a piece of dowel to push empties out the tube!

Kind of the "Model A" of handguns?
