    Please help support shoplifting

Please contact home depot and tell them that you like to pay more for items purchased at their store so that they can provide a thieves charity program.

The world is one severely twisted place...

"An internal memo from Home Depot outlines that associates cannot accuse, detain, chase or call the police on any customer for shoplifting."

    Can't call the police?

A lot of stores are like this. If any of you guys have Dick's Sporting goods by you, they CANNOT AND WILL NOT EVER attempt to stop any shoplifter once they make it to the door. Logic being, its cheaper to replace the merchandise than some trumped up civil suit that bobby the thief raises after he trips into on coming traffic.

My friend works there in the check out. saw a kid run in, grab a 100 dollar golf club, pull a 180 and run out. once he hit the door he was home free.

some people just need to be smacked.

I think I'll swim upstream for a while:

As far as Home Depot goes - the Hell with 'em!

Typical of that whole operation. I spent my last dollar there this week - imagine 8' long pieces of lumber, spray paint (now a controlled substance), and an item without a upc bar code all having to go through the "self service" with 2 people manning the "self service and zero (0) open registers! Thumb in, thumb out. F' em! If they make it miserable enough for the employees and the customers, they won't need to worry about it for too much longer.

    AAAARGH!!!!

I watched two homelessguys walk out of an Albertsons' grocery storeabout 6 years ago with two 30 packs of beer. Not one employee even blinked. I asked, and they said, "Not our problem, we're insured."
BUT, when they had a homeless guy drop some glass bottles inthe beer section a few days later, andI was stopping in on my way home, the manager had a great time requesting me to escort the drunken bum out. See, AT Systems,(armored trucking company.), uniform at the time looked identical to Tucson PD. Shoulda seen the customers gawk when I retured, and picked up a sixer for myself. Yes, I paid for it!

Well, I never shop Home Depot anyway, so avoiding them is pretty easy.

Maybe if the guy had held the door for the thieves, H/D would have given him a raise.

Today in court one of our Officers testified in a stop sign violation. The defendant a, convicted felon, said that she did not run the stop sign she stopped to seat belt her kids when she saw the cop. The Officer testified and the Judge thn said that since the Officer did not have his camera on during the violation He would have to take the word of the violator.

Makes me proud to have served 35 years.

So she got away with not having her kids belted in, by her own admission; and with running a stop sign.

I am glad I don't have to put up with the stuff you guys have to every day.
