I need one for a Lyman 457193 boolit in .460 with 4 rows of lube holes. I think I'd rather have your flanged type. Are you familiar with this application? If so please send my your information and I'll send your money.
Thanks, Jack

Is it possible to make a star die for the 690gr .503 Ross design that can lube all 5 grooves in one pass?

Hi Markus, it depends on the center-to-center lube groove measurement, but based on what I can see in that drawing, I would say yes. The C-to-C measurement and the size you want is all I would need to make a die for this. Also, you would want an extra-short punch, a normal length punch wouldn't work with this one.

That would be the safest bet Marcus, a slug in hand is always the best way to make sure the die is right, especially on an odd-size slug.

Just sent a pm for a couple of dies, the Paul Jones Creedmore .45 and the Ideal 375166.
I have a Magma Star, and I'm wondering what the difference is between the flanged and O-ring dies?
Thanks! (ps: I've ordered from you before and your dies are the best!)
Hi JD,
If you are referring to the C-clip die, you can see the difference in the opening post of this thread. The C-clip dies are a lighter-duty, slightly lower cost die. For the larger slugs/calibers you are wanting to work with here, you would definitely be better off with the factory flange style dies.
Thanks,
Chris
