    Moly bore treatment

I received my Lee .457 sizer and honed it out to .4595-.460. I had some 500 grain patched but not lubed with LLA. I had a bottle of KG-6 Moly Bore Prep so I used that to get them through the sizer to check my boolit size. Anybody see a problem with this lube. Its messy but I shouldn't have to worry about the patches sticking after leaving the barrel.
    Thanks

    Moly Lube

I have use something related to what you used. I have used Lyman Super Moly buttet lube. It has worked out nicely for me. I just rub some on the patch and send them through the sizer. It also works as a extream boolit sizer lube. If you have to size a alloy boolit down to land dia. and it's a lot of reduction, try it. The boolits will size good with this stuff. I got a lot of stuck boolits when I used any other lube.

I've used Lyman Moly lube too, it's good. A machinist friend of mine swears by moly grease for everything. I can't say he's wrong although, it's black and can be messy. I just don't mind that part.

I use case lube to size cores. Just roll them on the pad and rip 'em through the push-though die.

For the jackets, any kind of boolit lube will work, even tumble lubes.
