Well I am happy to report

That using Fingernail Polish for a sealant on a over the shot wad works great. I did 100 plastic and 66 paper hull 410 using the finger nail polish as a combination glue and sealant over the shot wad and it worked great. Nice thing too is the finger nail polish has its own brush and you do not have to worry about it drying out as long as you keep it in the bottle. I suspect the only time that happens is when the bottle gets empty. Nice thing is its cheap too and goes a long way.

Nail polish is good for marking the timing on cam chains when you take apart DOHC engines too. I usually go for firecracker red. It shows up real well inside the engine.

Hey Jim, timing chains?? All this time I thought you were using it on your toenails!! Just pulling your leg

Years back when I fooled around with Ford engines we used any color nail polish with glitter on the vibration damper's timing mark. Even with a cheapie timing light in bright sunlight the timing mark was very easy to see.

That would be a waste. You know that I always wear boots.

How you been Dave? I haven't seen you around in a dog's age.

LOL Nope had some red on hand to fill in some nicks on a red guitar body I have just about out of that but I got some black to use too I bought for the same reason for a black bodied guitar. A bright orange works nice on front sights too.

Well, Jeez, I told you guys it worked!
Clear is my favorite 'cuz I can label shot size and seal over it. Or, if using shot card cut from a milk jug, can see thru it. YMMV Regards, Woody

The "Dollar" stores have tons of fingernail polish for $1, sometimes under $1 each.

For my heavy slug loads, I've been using a hot glue gun to seal the crimp shut.

Do you use glue or just the heat to melt the hull?
Is this to get more consistent ignition?
