    Ballistic Table Help for 45-70

Perhaps there is someone on this forum that can assist me in finding a ballistic table (or supplying personally obtained data) for the venerable 45-70-500 load. I am using the classic Lyman 457125 500 grain boolit over 70 grains of Swiss 1.5 FG which yields a muzzle velocity of 1230. It would sure be nice to know how many inches low the boolit will be at various distances.

The easy answer would be for me to go to the range and set up targets at various yardages and obtain the data. This, however, is not possible since the rifle range at the club is in the process of being reoriented from N-S to E-W due to urban sprawl and new housing subdivisions going up. The club has a 50 and 100 yard range but nothing longer. The project of moving the berms and building a 200 and 300 yard range has been languishing for about two years now. There is a regional CAS match coming up in late September that has a long range rifle side match and I would love to try that event, but need a ballistic table to do so. Any help would be much appreciated, and thanks!

I sometimes run numbers through this ballistic calculator.

You will want a number to use for the BC, and Lyman says for the Postell (457132) it is .402.
