Nothing today but last weekend shot up 100-150 rounds from 22LR to 243 - working my back up to larger calibers to see if my neck can take it after my fender bender.

I shoot little but if I take 5 shots down I expect 1" or less at 50 yards and beer cans at 100.
Shooting thousands of rounds will not make a better shooter. One shot in the center or five touching and sub 1" at 100 is more important to me. I am a hunter and one shot is it, nothing more and I could care less about steel poppers at 15 yards.
Yet if I had a 1911 and a BG was out front, he would have a mighty small group with a magazine of loads through him.
So, you are having fun, popping caps---GREAT. I wish I could afford it so I need to make every shot count.

I would shoot a heck of a lot more than I do, but powder and primers still cost and I have to figure that into my days outing. Only shoot rifle and mostly Red Dot loads ( 11.5gn - 7x57 and 20gn - 404) and even though I got the Russian Muron LR primers ( I believe they are the Wolf and similar brands as well) NZ$63 for 2 K as someone was getting out of rifle competition they are still going to run out and need to be replaced (NZ$63 is about US$50 or $25 per 1000) Usually LR primers are NZ$70-90 = US$50-70)
Fixed income now so 30-50 rounds a week is about it for me, but like 44man I shoot for hunting practice.

I cast some of those 325 grain boolits out of that mold that I got from you yesterday loaded some in new 45-70 Hornaday cases and shot them out of a trapdoor Springfield rifle.
Needless to say it was a HOOT.I loaded them up with 16 grains Trail Boss and it sounded like a 22 going off.
I am sure glad this rifle belongs to someone else because I could sure shoot a lot of them.
Thanks for the Good deal on the mold.

Today, I shot ~130 rd of my 124gr jacketed 9mm loads at the "local" USPSA match (200 mile round-trip). The gas costs more than everything else.

During the warm month, my normal shooting is 300-400 rounds of 9mm and 100-200 rounds of .223 for USPSA and NRA Hi Power, and it takes me 600+ miles of driving.

Primary activity should go to the recognition of environmental factors. Secondly, mental practice for dexterity control. Third, muscle control for recoil purposes. ... felix

Shot the 625 at the local USPSA match today. Going to run the 627 at ICORE tomorrow. It's turning out to be a pretty good weekend!

I shot my Lyman Great Plains rifle (.50cal.) ~25 times today in preparation for a Blanket Shoot/Woods Walk tomorrow. While the rifle is accurate and the triggers good, I'm having trouble finding the right sight picture when shooting offhand. OTOH, it will put 5 patched RB's touching @ 50 yd. with either FFFg or FFg. Today's shooting was @ 25 yd. with pure Pb RB's (.490") cast from a Thompson/Center .50cal. mold and patched with .018" pillow tick, and lubed with 103 Lube.

I shot the Bull with several others today. Busy caring for disabled grandson, and that's more important.

20 rounds .22(Ruger .22/45), 21 rounds .45(Remington 1911R1), all at the plate rack in the back yard. Hoping the noise scares the rabbits and groundhogs away from the garden !

My son and I got to shoot a little today. 100 or so 45 acp's for me (PT1911) and 100 40 s+w for him (Glock 22).

We tried out my new AR and and burnt up a box of 20. (to muddy for the 100 yrd range or we would have let loose a little)

We also got to shoot my friends Saiga 12. 25-30 buckshot loads and a box or two of 3" slugs. My son is only twelve and three inchers knocked him around a little.

    Shot 50 rounds each through my new(ish) 1911, S&W 686 Pro Series 5", and S&W 41.

No cast boolits in this outing though, I need to load some up.
