Looks to be a copy of Marlin 336 - so just open lever about 1/3 of a stroke, making sure the gun is empty lay on left side remove screw holding in lever (part 25 Finger lever screw) then pull down on the lever and then push the bolt assembly to the rear (helps to hold down the hammer). Keep an eye out for the ejector and spring. reassemble in reverse.

Thanks Artful, will give it a go. Of to the range to release some lead with the rossi 2morro.
Will need to give it a real good clean after that.

    This may be helpful: http://marauder.homestead.com/Rifles.html

The bolt pin must be removed also, per step 4.

Getting the Rossi back together can be a challenge. Using a dummy round to compress the ejector, making sure the spring and collar are all OK simplifies it quite a bit.

357--I don't think the Rossi 30-30 design is the same as the 92.

    Smile

Looks like the Rossi is a copy of the marlin 336 in as much as the instructions seem to be the same[remove 4 pieces].Lever screw, lever , bolt and clip.
Was very easy to strip the bolt out and clean from behind.
    Thanks for your assistance

The Rossi Rio Grande strips the same way a Marlin 336 does.
