    38 Super...let's here it.

I will be picking up a new 1911 tomorrow chambered in 38 Super. If anyone is casting for this caliber I would like to know some suggested loads, and also am I thinking correctly that I will want to size these .357? You guys have never let me down before. Thanks yall in advance for the help!

P.S. Who taught me to spell??

Later, if you want to, you can buy a barrel and magazines in 9mm. Mine dropped right in and works great. I have a lot of 9mm brass I can use.

#2 son has a .38 Super Government Model and it laps up Lyman's 356402s. Feeds fine, functions and is accurate./beagle

    IF you can find one

I shot IPSC years ago with a Lee 141 TC boolit over a might max charge of Unique.

Mine was a Combat Commander with a Barsto barrel.

Made major, but slung brass 2 counties away.

    Good Cal you'll have fun.

    38 Super

I have a STI Trubor in 38 Super. It is a race gun built on a 1911 frame. I have put about 5000 rds. thru it so far. I use a Saeco 145 gr. round nose sized at .356 dia. The load is 7.9 grs of Accurate #7. The load is extremely accurate. I am also working on a 120 gr. low recoil load using the same powder charge. The load functions good but I have not shot it enough to see how accurate it is. The gun has a light 8lb recoil spring in it.

Don't yell at me fellas, but years ago, I simply loaded 9mm right into the 38 super magazine, and pumped them thru the 38 super barrel.

    Pop pop pop.....

I still got all my fingers... Not sure about my sanity.
